latt it's that one woods...you just walk the side hill for 2 miles, cross 3 ravines, and right before the 4th ravine veer to the top and the big mommas are growing there in the ferns!

Yep I will get a pic posted of the 2 monster roots . one was 5.1 oz and the other was 4.8 oz, 50+ years old, boggled my mind trying to count scars

Oh yea I know that spot, thanks for the info. lol
Look forward to seeing those root pics. 5.1 oz and 4.8 oz are huge!! The largest root that I ever found is 3.4 oz 3 years ago. It was 47 years old. I think I found some monsters back in the late 70's as the fella that bought them eye's lit up. But I just remember them being big and old, never weighed them individually. But I got lucky. I have posted about that spot and how I got lucky finding the spot of my lifetime the first year I hunted. So I got spoiled right off the bat. The spot was 1/4 mile from my house in an awesome woods. It was an early development with many wooded 2 to 3 acre lots that had not been built on yet. Never found a spot like that again. Still searching thou.
