TOPIC: Large roots found today including a 2 top

Found some great roots today. One had a 4 prong and a 3 prong top off of the same root. The other large root was right next to it.

Thanks Frank, unfortunately I don't have much at all. (experience, knowledge, or wisdom). This is my first year hunting ginseng. I've been lurking on this site for a few months without joining. I have learned so much from everyone on this site from what ginseng looks like in the wild to how to dig it including digging tools to how to dry it to what to expect for selling it. I've learned about planting ginseng and have planted 1000 stratified seeds as well as every seed from every red berry I found while digging. All of the ginseng I have found was on the same hillside on a scouting trip in August. I had trouble sleeping some nights waiting for opening day. Here's some pics from opening weekend.

5 prong root and 4 prong appearing to be of same genetics found within 2 feet of it. I believe both to be 38 years old.
