huntsman, you guys weren't eating any of those wild mountain mushrooms when you saw those giant seng plants were you, . just kidding. I did find some giant 4 prongs last year that were probably approaching the 3 ft range, almost couldn't believe my eyes, and believe me they are few and far between as you well know. I hope you're not pulling my leg cause I'm going out this afternoon and will be looking for these elusive ginseng giants!

hey huntsman, glad to hear you don't use drugs. I hope you didn't take offense to my post, and apologize if it was taken. I didn't mean for my comment to be taken literally . Those mountains are wild as it gets and wouldn't doubt there's some things out there that neither of us has or ever will find. I just hope i'm as lucky to find one of those giants.

Got out for a little bit today. Just took some pics to show how yellow the plants are getting in northern Illinois. Didn't find any 4 prongs.
