TOPIC: Opening day in Tennessee

Opening day in Tennessee 8 years 6 months ago #36790

Hello everyone, hope everyone could get out today. I went early this morning to a new area and used it as sort of a scout/hunting trip. I came across some of the best looking ginseng habitat i've ever seen. I just knew I was gonna get in it thick today. Well, it didn't quite work out that way, but I did find a few nice ones. I'll try to upload a few picks.

thanks chieftain, I walked my butt off today. My back is killing me, lol. I'm pretty sure some of the areas I was hunting today have been hunted before at some point, but still managed about 30 roots. It's a big area so hopefully I'll find that honey hole. Good luck this season.

Wild,

That is a fine looking root and tops.

Your seng looks a little different than mine here in southern middle tn.

Congratulations
