TOPIC: Greetings from Vermont, new to the forum

Greetings from Vermont, new to the forum 13 years 6 months ago #6444

Hello All,

My name is Steve and I live in southern Vermont.
It's nice to see all the action (and pics) on this forum!!!

Good year this year in the woods. Best day was 112 roots in 6 hours (the ones on the sheet pan, 2.5 pounds wet). Here's a few pics (if I can figure out how to post them).

Any other VT'ers on the forum?
Anyone going to the auction in Bethel this year?

It is actually illegal to harvest from the National Forest, but it sure does grow there. How was NY this year? What part of NY you from?

VT season runs until Oct. 10th, but bow season starts Oct. 2nd, bummer, but thats okay, those yellow tops were from the end of Sept. Sure does seem to turn yellow quick this year.

NY is no area to pick up wild ginseng legally. So I went to other state this year.
Please let me know your email address if you could.
