Thanks 5 it did take me awhile to get to know dealers to sell the different roots to most of the big ginseng dealers do not buy other roots but after being a roofer 25 years and working 9 mounths out of the year I soon learned that the ginseng season alone was to short for me and I get bored easy so I ventured into this and so far you are right I am enjoying it I already new alot about the Mountians and many different roots so it seems to be a good thing so far.

I have heard of many of those, but never heard of - Heal All Root.

A web search on \"heal all\" got me to the wikipedia article below which has lots of info on it.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prunella_vulgaris

I noticed the text below in that article..

==
The root was also used to make a tea that Native Americans used to drink in ceremonies before going hunting to sharpen their powers of observation.
==

Sounds like something us seng hunters could use.

Not sure I have ever seen that growing around here - could be that it is here but I just never really noticed it.

You guys find that around where you live ?

Evidently some of you may since Billy is buying it.

I see where you can buy seeds for it online, like on ebay and other places. You can eat the flowers and small leaves in salids. I would not mind haveing some of that growing in my garden next spring and try it out.

I found a couple large patches of wild sarsaparilla. How does the market look for it this year?

I always thought Mayapple was worthless, there's 100's and 100's of acres of it everywhere around where I live.
