I was on my way out from hunting in the mountains and stopped and took some pictures of the Appalachians. The view is looking southwestward into Western North Carolina and the northern portions of the Great Smoky Mountains. The pics were taken from an elevation at around 3,600 feet where National Forest workers or someone that wanted a great view, decided to cut down some trees below the road.
That is a nice high racked 8 pointer! Congrats to your nephew! Due to clearing trees, brush and bushes on my' property, dealing with the Insurance Company and Roofers to get the roof on my' home replaced (due to the July 5th storms) and due to all of my back troubles, I haven't been out much this year and still have not gotten a deer. I just hope that I can find that big one I missed on opening day of Muzzleloader Season before he loses his' antlers and makeup for the miss!
