Thanks yall. Here is the finished product. This stuff dries a lot faster than ginseng! Came out to be around 13 ounces. It might dry out a little more so that might not be entirely accurate. Not bad for 10 minutes of digging. I think the cleaning is the hardest part, but at least you can do it while sitting down.
Very clean roots indeed.
Would be best to wait until after the plants develop seeds in late Summer to harvest
as the root moisture level is lower giving us both higher dried root yields and more concentrated plant chemistry.
Be careful not to leech out the saponins (create a lot of suds) during your washing process.
