Mushrooms growing in a circle... 9 years 10 months ago #28573

We have had a lot of rain the past couple of weeks and as you know that will make shrooms start popping up here and there.

In my back yard right now I have a nice wide 10\" circle of these growing.

It is a good looking mushroom but I have no idea if they are edible. Not going to try them unless one of you guys can help me positively id it.

The underside is especially interesting looking...

PS... that top is around 3\" wide and most of them are in the 2-3\" wide size on the tops now.
They have been up for 2-3 days at this point.

Don't go out of your way to try and ID them.. I mostly just enjoyed looking at them.

I get those here after a lot of rain as well. Can't help with the iID of them. As you say, these only show up around here after boucoups rain.

TN,
Those are Pink Bottoms. They often grow in a fairy ring. Although I am 99.999 % sure these are Pink Bottoms / Agaricus, I would refrain from eating them unless you can have a local expert confirm I am correct. Also these are one of my favorite mushrooms.
Good luck,
Latt
