OK buddy,
I know there are several different kinds of puffballs and most are edible. I was not familiar with those kind. See I learned something new today as well. How did you know those puffballs were edible. Research or an old timer share some knowledge with you 5 years ago.

An old timer showed me sometime ago. I get giant puffballs once in awhile to. These ones get as big as a couple softballs. I'll check my fields after ever rain n usually have a few up.

That is by far the biggest puffball I have ever seen. I would like to know how big the record is because you may have it there. I have never eaten them but my people (the Cherokee) would use the inner-powdery material and mix it with warm water and put inside the ear to cure infections. My grandmother talked about her mom using it on her and her brothers and sisters and it always would cure an ear infection.

Yep that is a big one for sure. Interesting info on a cure for an ear infection. Amazing how many natural remedies are out there to cure ailments.
Good luck,
Latt
