In the Phillipines the plant that is pictured is called ginseng.... however, it is not actually in the the same family as the ginseng plants we all know. There is a market for it, but it is not nearly as valuable as american wild ginseng.... I actually read about this on an online article about common names of different plants and animals, but don't remember a lot of the details.
