TOPIC: Middle Tennessee Prices

I checked with Jack Davis over in Wayne County this evening...

Talked to his wife and she said they are paying 400.00 per pound now.

She said Jacks buyer has not been given a price from the Chinese yet.. so the 400.00 is evidently mostly speculation at this point.

They are recommending that sellers wait until November and check back with them on the price.

I am glad I decided to only do a few hunts this year and leave the rest for next year.

If any of you other Middle Tenn folks hear anything on price, post it please.

I am not in any hurry to sell, so waiting until Nov or Dec is no problem for me.

Same thing in Ky.and WV. No word from China. Don't know what prices might do. Not looking good.

I've ben selling to same guy for almost 30 yrs here in North Ala and this is the first time I've seen him stop buying. He bought the first few weeks and stopped first of Oct and told me to check back the first of Nov.

Where to sell in north MS?
Willing to drive to TN or AL.

I sold today at $ 450

Bedsoe county a guy is paying 450.00 dry per pound

I talked a Dealer in my home county this weekend.. and he said he is paying 550.00 now.

Think I will go ahead and sell my little bit of dry at that price.

I have not checked with Glenn Bradey (Pulaski) or Jack Davis (Waynesboro) but they often do offer more than my local county buyer... but this year I simply did not dig enough to justify a road trip to sell it.

550.00 sure sounds a lot better than 400.00... so I will take that price.
