Having them for supper tonight Chief.

Last night we ate the last of the deer meat from last years season... grilled deer tenderloin, seasoned well, covered in A1, wrapped in bacon... grilled to perfection (Med-Rare) oh man it was good.

Tonight it is Blackened Bass Filets, hushpuppies and taters.

When I was a kid, I would say that 50% or more of the meat we ate we killed or caught ...

I still do as much of that as I can. Love it.

Just wanted to give everyone an update of what I'm getting for prices. Most of my buyers are now at $500 a pound with a couple of them still at $450. Seems there's some uncertainty about the market but that's the same thing that they say every year. I'm still holding out for $650 a pound or I'm certifying my sang and hanging on to it for the year. But I think its going to hit that price by early November. Good luck to all of you and I hope that your not having as difficult of a time getting your sang to dry as I am!!!!
