TOPIC: Burnt Up

Burnt Up 4 years 6 months ago #42168

Went out yesterday and again this morning. Found 8 plants total and all of those were yellow and laying on the ground. Pretty sure that my season is over. Everything around here is burnt up and brown. I suppose I could look for a northern facing hillside and do some prospecting but it’s definitely been a tough year. I do think that all of you that have a few pounds drying will get a food price as everything that I’ve heard is that this heat and drought is hurting the sang just about everywhere. Good luck to all.

Sorry to hear it's a bad year for digging.

I took my aluminum cans to the salvage yard a couple weeks ago which is also the ginseng buyer for the county I live in, they were paying $275 a pound.

My guess is this is low because they, well they just seem like the kind of outfit that would price low. But I really don't know.

Also, I have two plants that are still identifiable, but barely.
