I checked with my local dealer this week and he is paying 450.00 / lb now.

Last time I checked, a few weeks back he was at 350.00 so the price has moved up some.

I have a very small amount and I may sell it at that price.

I am in Southern Middle TN.

Not a bad price lenno, Here in southeastern Ky. it was going for 425 to 450 before thanksgiving for good average roots. My buyer said to hold off on buying any more until next week and see what was moving.

It's been steadily climbing here in NC for the last month. I sold mine for 700 a lb on Tuesday this week, think they're paying 650 even for average lots. It's went up about 25 or 50 dollars almost every week for over a month, I think it's probably about peaked though.

I sold the day after Thanksgiving at that 450.00 price.

I am in southern middle TN.

I only had a small amount for sale and now I have a little extra spending money.

I purposely limited my hunts this year and only dug enough for me to eat... and sold a little dab that was left over... because of the low price starting off.

My local Dealer that I sold to said it has been slow this year... he has not bought near what he usually does... so hopefully a lot of other diggers decided to leave it in the woods this year, hoping for better prices next year.

If the over all harvest was lower this year... perhaps that will help out with next years prices.

Hope so.

Good Luck to all of you that have not sold yet. Hope you get a decent price.

Boring over around Pikeville TN is around $400 a pound on dry. They are paying better for fresh high quality larger roots from their website.

On my way to sell for $550 lb. Right now. It has went up $50 lb. since last week and I maybe should hold out but I waited too long last year and the bottom fell out. A bird in the hand .....
