TOPIC: yellow berries

yellow berries 9 years 9 months ago #29442

During my woodland wanderings today I found a wild plant possessing these. This is suppose to be an only known phenomenon of Panax Ginseng in Asia but....Apparently, Tennessee Ginseng has it also. The first I have ever seen

Latt,
I guess anything is possible but if those seed did find their way to this area for sale in those days they couldn't have afforded to buy them I don't think.

I thought maybe they just weren't ripe yet but they had already fallen off and the pulp was soft. This will be an interesting one to watch later on.

I have never seen that hill..

And I have been hunting seng in the southern middle tn area since around 1976.

I never even heard of the possibility of yellow berries. Interesting...

I haven't ever either tnhunter. It is in a protected place so I guess we'll see if it continues with yellow berries next year. I'll keep a closer eye on it next year to get a pic with the berries attached.

Tntrader,
I didn't check, i just planted the berries as they were.
