TOPIC: Seed or berry? that is the question

Seed or berry? that is the question 13 years 7 months ago #6404

i was wondering, when you guys are on the digg site, do you replant the berrys themselves or do you smash them and plant the individual seeds?

I've always just replanted the berry. Would it hurt to plant the unstratified itself?

I always replant the berry.

Shallow trench (think 1/2 to 3/4 inch deep is ideal) then space them out 6\" or so - cover with some of that nice loose top soil, then leaves and pat em down.

I figure the fruit of the berry will help protect the seeds inside for a while (keep them from drying out). It is not unusual for our Sept/Oct to be very dry, then it turns wetter in November.

Below shows how I do it.

If you will go to the link below (which is right here on this site) - Billy did a nice video that shows how to dig proper and re-plant the berries.
