Hey Billygoat,
There is a max size that you can post as a imbedded image and best I remember it is around 800 pixels (on width/height).
So if you take pictures with a digital camera you either have to configure your camera to take smaller sized pictures (for example 800x600 or 640x480 size in pixels) or after you take your pictures and save them on your computer you can resize them to make them small enough to post here.
Different imaging applications of course have different options/ways to resize but below is a example of how I do it using one of the image applications on my PC.
PS - how I got that inserted or embedded in the post was I clicked on the Browse button (next to Select a image file to attach) and then I browsed my PC to the location/folder I had the picture saved it (after resizing it). Once I found the picture I clicked on Open, then I clicked on the \"img\" button then clicked in the post to put the \"img\" where I wanted the picture to show up.
Then I clicked Submit and that's it.
In the example above where I was resizing, I had to set the unit to pixels, then I usually just tweak the size until the larger part (either width or height) is set to around 700 pixels.
That works well for showing in a post here.
Hope this helps.
