TOPIC: Checking root growth 1&2 yrs

Couldn't wait 10 years to check them out

Here's a two year old

I was surprised to see so may root hairs

Of course not all the two year olds are two prong
plenty of five leafers
this guy went right back in the same spot he seems to like it there

Here's one of this years seedlings
he came out of a test plot with about
70% germination

I'd like to see him again in three years
but only time will tell

Looks great how did you prepare your test plot did you add anything or till the soil first whats the weather like their

Those are looking great.

Love all the fine hair root and the main root part is developing very nicely.

No doubt they are happy where they are living.

No tilling or any soil additives. I'm lucky enough to be right where Wild American Ginseng grows willingly and I'm planting Wild Simulated Ginseng. Those were planted with the rake and scatter method. I would suggest reading \" Growing & Marketing Ginseng, Goldenseal & Other Woodland Medicinals by W. Scott Persons and Jeanine Davis
I read it 4 or 5 times Before starting and read it often for reference now.
