Thanks for the great replies.

I figured my story was one everyone who grows ginseng has probably gone through. Funny thing is after it was all done and over I did enjoy being out in the woods. I ran across a couple ruffed grouse, a pileated woodpecker, a doe with a couple young fawns and some crazy look bush that I later found out was wild asparagus.

I have one more round of seeds to plant after Labor Day. Hopefully the weather will be a bit better. I'll be sure to share that adventure. I sit on my butt indoors everyday at a computer for my day job so any opportunity to get in the woods I go for it.
