TOPIC: Keeping seeds moist?

Keeping seeds moist? 14 years 2 months ago #3320

Okay, I got several pounds of seed in the other day. It went into the fridge immediately, but it may be a couple weeks before I can get it into the ground. Any suggestions on keeping refrigerated seed moist?

I put a moist paper towel in with the seed and leave the zip loc bag slightly open.

Ah okay. These bags are perforated, so into the box shall go a moist towel. Thanks!

I am new to this, but the method I have been using, is to check them weekly and about every three weeks I put them in a pot and soak them for about 5 to 10 min. Then strain them off and dump them onto a bunch of paper towels and let them air dry for a while, them put them in a new fresh zip lock bag.

Dude, that is invaluable information.

I will keep them in the perforated bags and soak them. Putting them into a small and special refrigerator unto themselves will seal their fate.

Wish me luck...
