I recently ordered soil test for growing ginseng in my wooded backyard..and here is the soil test report. I was wondering if anyone could give me some feedback or advice.

Estimated Soil Texture: Coarse
Organic Matter: 6.1%
pH: 7.6
Olsen Phosphorus (ppm): 22
Bray 1 Phosphorus (ppm): 36
Potassium (ppm): 272
Calcium (ppm): 3484
Magnesium (ppm): 319

Thank you very much!

i dont know what all that means but if your back yard is shaded and well drained, ginseng will prolly grow there.

just dont forget and run over it with your lawnmower....lol

Rather then a soil test, you can look for other plants that will grow in the same areas as ginseng. Ie: Black and blue cohash, may apple, false sang, dolls eye, christmas fern, jack in the pulpit, and the list goes on. Is there a lot of grass growing there? What percent of shade area? Does it lay wet all summer? Good luck
